Memorial services for Mr. Darryl Roland Dronet, R.Ph, 63, of Carlyss will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at
Robison Funeral Home. The Rev. Thomas Vellappallil, M.S., will officiate. Cremation is entrusted to Robison Funeral A
rosary will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Dronet passed away on Sunday, Sept. 28, in a Baton Rouge hospital. He was a lifelong resident of the Sulphur and
Carlyss areas, graduating from Sulphur High School in 1963. Darryl graduated from Northeast Louisiana University in
1969 with a degree in pharmacy. He was a Marine veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He was most recently employed
Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed playing golf, riding his Harley Davidson and listening to Cajun music.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner’s Hospital, 3100 Samford Ave., Shreveport, LA 71103.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd John Dronet Sr.; and a sister, Angela Marie Dronet.
Survivors are his wife of 14 years, Mrs. Dianne LeBlanc Dronet of Carlyss; three daughters, Lana Kay Dronet of Austin,
Texas, Laura Laine Dronet of Los Angeles and LaNissa Nicole Dronet of Lake Charles; son, Paul Roland Dronet of
Orlando, Fla.; stepdaughter, Christi Thornton of Westlake; stepson, Damon Hoffpauir and wife Aimee of Sulphur;
mother, Willie Mae Dronet of Sulphur; sister, Sheryl Dronet of Dallas; three brothers, Johnny Dronet and wife Lucille of
Carlyss, Mike Dronet and wife Beverly of Jennings and Robbie Dronet and wife Kim of Sulphur; and four grandchildren,
Myndi Blount, Hayden Blount, Alex Hoffpauir and Darbeé Hoffpauir.
